Directions for installing Adobe Acrobat on your computer (if you have Netscape Navigator 3):
1. Print a copy of this Web page. You’ll be leaving the APS Power Posse Web site and you will want to keep these instructions and the Web address to return. Please Note: Depending upon the speed of your connection to the Internet, it could take as long as one hour to download Adobe Acrobat to your computer.
2. Click on the red and gold icon on this page that says "Get Acrobat Reader."
3. A message will appear that says, "This will install Adobe Acrobat Reader 3.01. Do you wish to continue?" Click "Yes."
4. Loading of files for the set-up process will begin. A Wizard (the Adobe Acrobat 3.01 Setup Window) will appear to guide you through the rest of the process. Click the "Next" button.
5. A software licensing agreement will appear. Read it and click "Yes."
6. "Install Adobe Acrobat 3.01 to default directory" will appear. Click "Next."
7. The files will decompress. As it does so, a bar with a percentage indicator will appear on your screen.
8. Click "Finish" when you receive the message that set-up is completed.
9. Click "Exit" at the "Thank You" screen.
10. Close the hard drive files (where you downloaded Adobe Acrobat 3.01 to).
11. Close down your Netscape browser. Then, open it up again.
12. In the box at the top of your screen (where it says "Address"), type www.aps.com.
13. Return to the APS Power Posse Web site. Go to the "Teaching Concepts" page. Click on the underlined words of the paper you would like to read. An Acrobat Reader screen will appear briefly and then dissolve. The contents of the paper should appear on your screen. You can print the paper by clicking on "File" (at the top left corner of your screen), and then clicking on "Print."
14. To get back to the APS Power Posse Web site once you have printed the brochure, click on the "Back" button in the upper left-hand corner of your screen.
