First Grade ACTIVITY 5 - Sources of Energy General Description Students will investigate how the sun is the main source of the earth’s energy by observing different plants and determining which have the most stored energy. The students will accomplish this by planting seeds and recording what happens to those plants that receive sunlight versus those that do not. Objective Students will identify the sun as the primary source of the earth’s energy. Students will compare those plants that receive sunlight versus those that do not and explain what happens to them. Students will record data and make connections between those plants that receive light and those that do not.
